In a lot of ways, Rambling Path Productions is simply two women on an adventure together. As traveling partners and confidants, the company was born out of a rambling discourse we've kept up with one another about the nature and implications of travel, the concept of home, and a love of image making.
There were three great impulses behind creating Rambling Path Productions. The first was to be able to share our experiences. We want be able to communicate both visually and verbally, and create a community through stories and images. We have found that our experience of the world becomes broader and richer when we are connected by what we make, and when we take an active role in the construction of our condition. The second and third reasons for creating Rambling Path are interconnected. Not only do we want to thrive as artists, but we also want to spread the love by financially contributing to organizations that we have found to be striving for the greater good. We founded Rambling Path Productions on these tenets: To share our stories, to make livelihoods for ourselves as artists, so that we can continue creating and communicating, and to donate to organizations that we find on our travels that do local good. It is our hope that though our images and stories we can help make the world feel more accessible, communal, and collective.
We both boast degrees in the Fine Arts from Maryland Institute College of Art. We have so far counted enough pennies to able to have visited, photographed, and basked in 22 countries, and are always excited to broaden our viewpoints a little more. We are walking a Rambling Path, and we hope you'll join us.
